People believe that this temple is constructed with the timber of only one big old tree. The Dattatreya Temple is dedicated to the divine Trinity of Hinduism: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
I met three guardians of this Dattatreya Temple:
The most impressive one is a big billy-goat that confronted me at the steps.
An invisible one is the old grandfather shackled to his bed inside the limbo of the sanctuary.
The third one is his grandson, the boy in charge to lead the evening ritual.

Volgens het volksgeloof is deze tempel gebouwd uit het hout van een enkele grote oude boom. De tempel is toegewijd aan de Hindu- Drievuldigheid: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Ik ontmoette drie bewakers van deze Dattatreya Tempel:
De meest indrukwekkende is een grote geitenbok.
De onzichtbare is de oude grootvader die aan zijn bed gekluisterd is in het voorgeborchte van het heiligdom.
De derde is zijn kleinzoon, de jongen die het avondritueel voorgaat.
