I built a pentagon, or a star with five points, with five performances to the Absent Audience:Translucent, Castes, Veil, Candles, Pyramid.
The pentagon has the size of a human, So when you lay down in the position of the Vitruvius-man, you perfectly fit into it. To view the performances, the audience walked around the pentagon.

About performances to the Absent Audience:
Performances do not exist whithout an audience that is present at the moment of the creation. I break this rule by using the internet. Time and place, absence and presence become relative, the performance can be revealed anytime, anywhere. For my “To the Absent Audience” performances, my solitude in the studio in relation to the absent but connected audience is paramount.

Ik vormde een pentagon, of een vijfpuntige ster, met vijf performances to the Absent Audience: Translucent, Castes, Veil, Candles, Pyramid.
Het pentagon heeft de maten van de mens. Als je er binnenin gaat neerliggen, in de houding van de man van Vitruvius, pas je er perfect in. Om de performances te zien wandelde het publiek rond de vijfhoek.

Over performances to the Absent Audience:
Performances bestaan niet zonder een publiek dat aanwezig is op het moment van de creatie. Ik breek deze regel door het internet te gebruiken. Tijd en plaats, aanwezigheid en afwezigheid worden relatief, de performance kan op eender welke plaats en tijd plaatsvinden. Voor mijn “To the Absent Audience” performances is mijn eenzaamheid in de studio in relatie tot een afwezig publiek waarmee ik in verbinding sta, belangrijk.
