The peaks of the Himalayas, with Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) being the highest, raise up in the snowy heavens of Nepal. The Indian tectonic plate collides with the Eurasian plate, and created this way the mountain range. Earthquakes occur when the plates move, the most recent one was in April 2015. The Himalayas are the majestic pride and at the same time the dramatic burden of Nepal. Onlookers from all over the world come to search for beauty and spirituality by mountain-climbing and -trekking. The most friendly people on Earth are living in this geological danger-zone, people with an old and rich culture. They developed a special survival-kit, filled with prayers and secret rituals, through life in the Himalayas and in the valleys beneath.
